360° photography & camera service: Lithuania, Baltics, EU

360° photography and 11K camera services

This is a service in its own right, not an add-on to a mapping project. The camera is an Insta360 Titan: 11K resolution, full 360°, 10-bit colour, eight Micro Four Thirds sensors. It can be carried through a property, set up on a tripod, or mounted on a vehicle, which means property photography, virtual tours, building inspection records and production work are all jobs it takes on their own, with no LiDAR and no AI detection attached.

Why 11K matters in a 360° frame

A 360° image has to spend its pixels on an entire sphere. A viewer, meanwhile, only ever looks at one direction at a time, a small slice of that sphere. So the number that decides whether a virtual tour feels sharp is not the headline resolution, it is how many pixels survive inside the slice someone is actually looking at. This is why 360° capture punishes low resolution far more harshly than flat photography does.

At 11K, that slice still holds detail when a viewer zooms: the text on a sign, the joint pattern on a facade, the condition of a surface. The 10-bit colour is the other half of it; it gives a colourist room to lift shadows and shift grade without the sky breaking into bands, which is the difference between footage that can be finished and footage that can only be looked at. The same property is what makes the imagery usable as AI training data rather than only as a viewing experience.

RESOLUTION

11K, 360°

Detail is retained in the zoomed-in slice a viewer actually looks at, not just the wide view.

COLOUR

10-bit

Latitude for grading and exposure recovery without banding in skies and gradients.

MOUNTING

Static or vehicle-mounted

Walkthrough and fixed-position capture, or mounted on the AKYS rig to cover a route.

GDPR

Automatic blurring

Faces and licence plates are blurred by AI models before the data is stored.

Capture specifications

The 360° camera is the flagship sensor of the AKYS rig, which means a standalone 360° booking still has the rig's positioning and privacy processing behind it. Everything below is the equipment as it stands: what the service is capable of, quoted per project.

360° camera Insta360 Titan: 11K resolution, 360°, 10-bit colour
Sensors 8 × Micro Four Thirds, the largest sensors in any unibody 360 camera
Photo 11K 360°, monoscopic and 3D
Video 11K/30fps · 10K 3D/30fps · 8K/60fps · 5.3K/120fps
Stabilisation 9-axis gyro (FlowState)
Capture modes Static, walkthrough, or vehicle-mounted for routes
Positioning RTK-GNSS + 6-axis IMU: ±3 cm, so 360° imagery can be georeferenced
Available on the same rig Dual LiDAR, 2 × ZED 2i stereo, LWIR thermal, 5 × fisheye
Privacy Automatic AI blurring of faces and licence plates before storage
Primary output 11K 360° panoramas
Optional outputs .las / .laz point clouds, web digital twin, GeoJSON / CSV

What the rig can capture

These are the applications the equipment is suited to. Scope, access and deliverables are agreed per project.

Property photography

Apartments, houses, offices and commercial space captured whole: every room in one spherical pass, nothing cropped out of frame.

Virtual tours and interiors

Walkthrough capture of buildings, showrooms and public spaces as navigable 11K 360° panoramas a viewer can zoom into.

Building inspection records

Spherical documentation of a building's condition. We capture and deliver the imagery; the engineering assessment stays with your specialists.

Facade and heritage documentation

Full spherical records of building exteriors and heritage sites, where detail has to survive close inspection years later.

Film, VR and production plates

11K 360° plates in 10-bit colour, with the latitude a grade needs, for VR pieces and immersive backgrounds.

Venue and event capture

Spherical coverage of a space with no framing decisions and no off-camera direction. The whole room is recorded at once.

Road construction scanning

Capture a road section before, during and after works. With RTK-GNSS, a later drive repeats the same coordinates so the change is directly comparable.

AI training data

High-resolution 360° imagery usable as training data. COCO-formatted multisensor datasets are on marketplace.akys.ai.

A separate service from mobile mapping

360° photography is its own service line here, not a component of a scanning contract. A property shoot, a virtual tour, an inspection record or a set of production plates needs nothing but the camera and someone to carry it: no vehicle, no LiDAR, no point cloud, no AI pipeline. That is the service on this page, and it stops there. You book the camera, you get the imagery.

But the Titan is mounted on a rig that also carries dual LiDAR, two ZED 2i stereo cameras, LWIR thermal and five fisheye cameras, all hardware-synchronized and georeferenced. If a project needs measurable geometry or automated asset detection alongside the imagery, the same drive can produce it; see mobile mapping and LiDAR scanning. The decision does not have to be made upfront, but it is cheaper to make it before the capture than after.

Frequently asked questions

What is 360° scanning?

360° scanning is the capture of a full spherical view of a space: everything above, below and around the camera in a single exposure, with no framing decisions and no blind spots. The result is a panorama a viewer can pan and zoom inside, rather than a fixed rectangular photograph. AKYS captures it with an Insta360 Titan at 11K resolution and 10-bit colour, either from a static position, walked through a building, or mounted on a vehicle to cover a route.

Why does 11K resolution matter for a 360° camera?

A 360° frame spreads its pixels across an entire sphere, so a viewer looking at any one direction only ever sees a fraction of them. At 11K there are enough pixels left in that fraction for detail to survive when someone zooms in: a sign face, a joint in a facade, a serial plate on equipment. Lower-resolution 360° capture looks acceptable zoomed out and falls apart the moment anyone looks closely. The 10-bit colour matters for the same reason on the grading side: it leaves room to push exposure and colour without banding.

Can I book the 360° camera without LiDAR or AI mapping?

Yes. 360° capture is offered as a standalone service. You can book the 11K camera on its own and receive 11K 360° panoramas, with nothing else attached. The same camera also sits on the AKYS rig alongside dual LiDAR, two ZED 2i stereo cameras, LWIR thermal and five fisheye cameras, so if a project later needs measurable geometry or automated detection, the capture can be extended into a full mapping engagement instead of being repeated from scratch.

Can 360° imagery be georeferenced?

Yes. The rig carries RTK-GNSS positioning together with a 6-axis IMU, giving ±3 cm geospatial accuracy, so each 360° frame can carry a position rather than just a filename. That is what allows imagery captured along a route to be placed on a map, matched to a coordinate, and revisited in the same spot on a later capture.

Is 360° capture GDPR compliant, and what does it cost?

Faces and vehicle licence plates are automatically blurred by dedicated AI models before the data is stored, in line with EU GDPR. This runs on the imagery regardless of whether the capture is a street route or a venue interior. Pricing is quoted per project, because a single interior walkthrough and a multi-kilometre vehicle-mounted route are not the same job. Send the location, the deliverable you need and any deadline to [email protected] and you will get a quote for that scope.
